Mixing, Scratching, and Blending the night away, keeps the momentum high and the energy refreshing. To keep the audience singing at the top of their lungs, we follow the 80% rule. This means that 80% of the guests must be familiar with the songs I play. Another "trick of the trade" is pre-planned song requests. Planning allows me time in advance to search and collect those rare gems that you know you'll get excited for.
Why are DJ's important?
DJ's bring music to life! Mixing together two familiar songs results in musical moments that are new, yet familiar, and yet still unpredictable. Throw in a dancefloor and the results will be even more fluid.
Mixing is a unique relationship between two songs that creates a new feeling, that can bring new life into the old songs. It's not the songs that are important, but between them - during the mix - that's the magic part. The two songs dance with each other for an extended period, and the arrangements come to life.
During the magic part - the mix - you'll find a wonderful source of energy for the dancefloor and an endless source of inspiration for any music lover. Of course it all changes when you introduce a new audience night after night. The demographics of the crowd and their reactions, and the venue itself, can influence the DJ set. All of these elements combine to create a unique sonic soup from which fresh life can spring.
Before I had an event business, and a marriage, my days were pretty sporadic. Fewer responsibilities meant I didn't need a game plan: I could do things when I felt like it. These days, that just won't fly. I need a routine that I stick by, otherwise nothing (or at least very little) will get done.
I began DJ'ing in 1999, with a budget friendly dj-starter-kit. My bedroom was my studio and all I did was practice scratching and mixing. Believe it or not, it took me years to learn how to mix two songs together. Now I can do it in my sleep, while still drooling on my pillows. Eventually, I decided to honor my love for DJ'ing and start my own DJ company.
FAMILY & FRIENDS
I'm Mark McLain, also known as Marky Munro. I'm a son, a brother, a husband, and one of my life long friends named his first son after me.
After high school, in pursuit of my DJ career, I moved to several different states before turning back towards home. Unexpectedly, after returning to my hometown, I met and fell in love with one of the most wonderful girls I have ever met. Now we're married and building our happily ever after together.
I love and appreciate all of my friends, family, and new friends who become new family, and that's my never ending story. Without you, this party would be a very lonely place. So thank you for giving me a little of your time and attention! I hope you enjoy my website, I made it with 17 cans of rootbeer.
Lighthearted and easy-going, likes to mix things up.

DJ & Event Planner
Hi there! I'm the DJ. I have two turntables and a microphone, and I'm obsessed with mixing two songs together. I enjoy building perfect playlists, cuddling my lovely wife, and chugging a cold can of rootbeer.
Welcome to my party!
